Ava and Ethan are struggling in their marriage, both becoming closer to other people – Ava, a neurosurgeon, to one of her attending nurses; Ethan, working in Parks and Recreation, to a City Attorney who is helping him with his initiative to force the homeless out of city parks.
When Gavin, Ava’s homeless twin brother, shows up in their apartment, he proves a catalyst in their conflict, forcing them further apart. Through the help of homeless people who live in the park, both Ava and Ethan are forced to come to terms with themselves…and to some extent, each other.
